Permutations & Combinations              

A collection of decorative large ceramic vessels all formed from the same experimental 16-part modular slip casting system. Through the introduction of an innovative artistic approach to the mould making and casting process, what is traditionally a method of mass production is subverted, making each piece produced unique. Layers and sections of the adaptable plaster mould can be moved, or completely removed, allowing for multiple evolving iterations of forms. Taking inspiration from Brutalist architecture and Mid-Century design aesthetics, each piece of the mould is individually decorated by hand before being pieced together and cast as a singular vessel.
