Adaptations

A development of the Permutations & Combinations series, Adaptations is a collection of functional and decorative ceramics designed so that both the construction of the pieces and the final forms are modular. Vertical layers of plaster moulds are stacked like building blocks before casting, playfully experimenting with traditional intentions of the slip-casting production process. Multiple forms ranging from cups to dishes, bottles to large column vessels are created from the same initial mould, additionally the smaller forms are designed so that they too can be stacked into mini collections.
