Destroy / Decay

A limited edition series of bud vases designed to both subvert and celebrate the slip casting process. The plaster mould of a contemporary form is partially altered or destroyed between each cast until it becomes unusable, manipulating the practice from producing multiple repeat pieces into one off artefacts. The series highlights heritage craft production skills whilst exploring contrasting themes of the industrial and the refined, art and mass consumption, and progressive manufacturing within a declining pottery industry.
